2020-10-20 02:58:55 +0000 UTCOnly for the earlier parts. Part 5 has a few fights with more than 2 characters, and Part 6 even more. And pretty much every single fight in Part 7 has more than 2 characters and they're great fights. And Part 8 so far has had a few too.

Well, you see, as great as a writer that Araki is, he can't write action scenes with more than 2 characters to save his life. Like any time something is going on, always one of the character is the one that's acting as if it were a turn based videogame. Its weird but its one of those things you gotta just live with. There are probably like a dozen or so action scenes where you get 2 or more characters using their abilities simultaneously in the whole series. So, you end up with a lot of conflicts being resolved by one of the characters even when others can readily take part in the fight. It was definitely less pronounced when it was only a JoJo as the main character but as an ensemble moving forward its way more noticeable.
