The author essentially reset the structure of Jojo's with Part 3, so it does take a bit to get going. Once the author gets into his groove Jojo's really becomes something exceptional

We do get to see character growth and bonding which is the purpose of them I feel like. The villans do get SOOOO MUCH better in my opinion real soon.
