These conversations are the reason why I was so happy that you guys are reacting to Bojack, it’s such a real and raw show.

Bojack and Diane have a very complicated relationship. They are friends, they have a working relationship (he is technically her boss) and then add on romantic interest as well. Additionally they both have their own internal issues that they are dealing with at the same time. I think Diane does have feelings for Bojack but we are all able to recognize (and I think Diane recognizes as well) that a relationship with Bojack has a high likelihood of not going well. Mr. Peanutbutter is a much more stable option.

Bojack is just the pure definition of toxic. He knows his feelings for Diane but at the same time I think he knows that he wouldn't be good for her because I don't think he would be able to get his shit together and keep it together to stay in a healthy relationship with her and obviously diane deserves better than that. Still it's annoying he wanted to ruin her wedding even if it clearly wasn't an ideal wedding since both parties were unsure. Like clearly she's gonna be mad at you and ultimately want nothing to do with you and that would benefit no one.

This show is so good and I love hearing your discussions after wards. :) Side note: were you guys planning on doing the second season of 'The End of the Fucking World'? I saw your reactions to the first season and thought they were really great !

"I wanna yell at her" "She has a man" xD I'm happy it wasn't edited out, reacting to the lady working out at 11 PM was as funny as the show! I understand where you guys are coming from, its not fair for either of them to jump into a serious commitment without being 100% sure; however life does seem to happen like that sometimes. People make long term decisions based on short term emotions, which is how Mr. Peanutbutter proposed in the first place.

Diane only exhibits real nerves about the wedding because of what a big production she perceived it to be. I think the reason she ultimately decided to marry Mr. Peanutbutter is because of how supportive he is. Any time she brings up her concerns with him, he's quick to compromise and/or accommodate her to put those fears to rest. This is made abundantly clear when he's willing to forego a big wedding in lieu of something more small and intimate - something Diane was more comfortable with. Although their personalities aren't very similar, they are very much in love and complementary to each other.

I think Diane was in a place where if either her or Bojack were capable of admitting to each other that they were into each other she might have been interested in seeing where that goes. But ultimately she did feel strongly for Mr. Peanutbutter too and the safety in being with him as opposed to Bojack who she knows is toxic won out. I think she was very conflicted about her feelings and felt like she had to make a decision then and there to put the questions in her head to bed and just move on or else she might have made the more risky decision to try being with Bojack. And of course Bojack recognized his feelings but is a coward and couldn't be straight forward with her just as he couldn't be with Todd. He wants to maintain the power dynamic in his relationships and not be vulnerable towards others which is the behavior he's learned.
