I'm so surprised that the mention of "$14,000. $14K. $14 Thousand dollars" missing from Jimmy and Chuck's dad to which Chuck suspected Jimmy being responsible and you two still questioning Chuck what his motive is?!

2020-07-04 07:56:30 +0000 UTCThe writing for Jimmy is a double-edged sword - we root for him even when he’s shady, but we get so caught up in his point of view that we overlook the fact that Chuck is right about Jimmy. And we can hate Chuck all we want, but we’re forced to silently admit that he’s right when we hear Kim saying the same thing straight to our face. See how Kim vouched for Jimmy and got her reputation tanked for it? This is Chuck’s fear of Jimmy tanking the firm’s reputation due to Chuck giving Jimmy a job there. Chuck could have left Jimmy in jail, so there must be some love there. But Jimmy just can’t seem to do what Kim says and at least try not to get himself or anyone close to him in legal trouble for even a little while. Chuck wants Jimmy to succeed without taking any sketchy shortcuts, but that is clearly not Jimmy’s style and not what the audience tuned in for, so we’re already not on Chuck’s side.

And no offense (all love when I say this) but you can't blame someone for the way someone else is acting. Yes the harm a person causes to individuals contributes to the way a person will act in the future but it is still on the individual. Jimmy was like this at a young age when he had a loving dad and mom and chuck wasn't doing what he was doing now yet Jimmy was continuing to do questionable things.

He may be jealous of Jimmy for many things but Jimmy does have a tendency to break the rules. And his discussion with Kim was genuine. He sees her potential and wants her to be out of doc review. But still, team Jimmy of course.
