Jonathan Banks got robbed of the Emmy (he lost to Peter Dinklage who really didn't get much to do in GOT that season), but he did score the Critics Choice award. A very emotional performance from a character we never got to see let loose like this.

It was something that bothered me at first, but I've learned to suspend disbelief. Clearly having Kaylee is an important part of Mike's circle, and making her an infant instead of being able to have the interactions with him that we saw in BB isn't good enough. So you could say she's maybe 3 or 4 (of course she doesn't look it) which means she could be 10 in BB and that's acceptable enough for me logically.

BCS takes place from 2002-2004. BB takes place between 2008-2010.

I dislike the Philadelphia accent, mostly because I grew up here and hear it every day. Although I sort of have it too. But whatever, good for you two for liking it.
Also, the Philadelphia scenes were filmed in New Mexico, though they did a good reproduction of a Philadelphia cop car in that one scene. They could have been lazy and slapped on a sticker that said "Philly police department", but instead it looks like the props department really did their homework. This show really nails details like that.

Mike's story at the end always brings a tear to my eye; "I broke my boy." Ugh it's SO GOOD, the acting in this show is SO GOOD. So glad you ladies get so sucked into the story. Just an fyi, don't be expecting Breaking Bad stuff so early in the story. Mike is still "recovering" as seen in this episode, there is quite some ways to go but I promise you'll enjoy the ride every step of the way. You'll learn to love these new characters so when cameos do happen they'll feel that much more special :)

Better Call Saul starts in 2002, so around 6 years before Breaking Bad starts. There's a little bit of a incongruity with Mike's granddaughter, mostly because the actor who played her in Breaking Bad was pretty small compared to the kids who play her in Better Call Saul. It's a little thing that might throw you off at first, but just like how all of the actors look a bit older than they did in Breaking Bad you'll eventually get used to it.
