Goddam i love this episode so much. When Netero says "Meruem, King of Ants, you underestimate the human race infinite potential for evolution" I have chills every single time, because 'evolution' also can mean 'malice' and you can truly see that in this episode. This fcking bomb was LOW-BADGET and can be produced in series really fast, and yet it's still so damn strong. So no matter how strong the king is, humans capability to use their intelligence to create these evil products and their capability to adapt quickly will always be stronger. He had no chance from the very beginning.

2020-10-16 11:21:23 +0000 UTCWasn't sure if you didn't understand the heart thing or it was just a joke, but Netero was giving his thanks to everything including martial arts that have allowed him to get to the point of facing an opponent that he has to give his all to defeat. There are arguably parallels between Netero and Hisoka in this regard. After obtaining his "ultimate power" he was leagues above pretty much everyone, and it affected his behavior towards opponents in battle (letting enemies attack first, just not really taking them seriously, etc).

Even Morel and Know know he was joking and they said that if Netero can't beat Pitou than NONE in Hunters can do it.
