Unpause Maybe?

The other day I talked to a psychiatrist (a new one because the previous one moved to Oregon), both to renew my Lexapro prescription (I’ve experienced the withdrawal symptoms once before, and I really don’t want to go through that again) and to discuss my more recent executive function/focus issues. He decided that for the time being it’s best to not change my meds, and instead told me to try just getting out more. Everyone has been having a rough go of it with the pandemic, and I’ve just not been getting out all that much expect for some shopping, without all that much actual human contact. Just being told that I can address this myself seems to be doing a bit to help me get over the slump I’ve been in, and today I got some actual work done on tables and translations. I’m definitely not at 100%, but after a few months of struggling to get much of anything done beyond what I have to do to live, it feels amazing to get anything done without feeling like I’m hating it and wanting to go to sleep the whole time.

Also truth be told I just plain forgot that I have to hit the pause button on my Patreon for each month I want to pause it, so now I feel obligated to get some content up for September. Luckily I was motivated enough to finish up some tables, which I’ll be posting momentarily.

Most of what I’ve been doing with my spare time lately is messing with 3D printing and keyboards, including learning to build hand-wired keyboards and writing a guide on them to help get everything straight in my head, since there’s a lot about the topic that’s documented poorly if at all. On the plus side, there’s just a lot of really cool stuff you can make with a 3D printer and some keyboard parts. I now have among other things a banana shaped macropad, a kitty paw keypad with a color LED screen, and an “Etch-A-Mouse.”
