I’m kind of disappointed that you missed that. You have to pay attention to the character development of the king, when he was born he didn’t need anyone for anything, he slapped pitou, tried to kill her & insulted her so for him to say “I’m counting on you” was like a honor to her. That & it was an act of love. Her instincts was to stop everything she was doing to heal komugi That’s why pitou was crying.
