If you think Royals are asses now, wait until you get some more back story on what the Royals have done in the past. One thing I do like about Black Clover though, is how most of the core villains have sympathetic traits.

He wasnt blessed with magic but he was blessed with great friends. The Black Bulls and Yuno are really the only people he has to complete that empty part of his life but he still gets down a lot. When he screams he isnt just yelling to yell, he is yelling to himself because deep down he knows he might as well give up. After rewatching Black Clover you can see the symptoms of Asta having depression and it's quite sad
