You don't need to react to it, but since you guys usually skip it you should watch the ending for this episode because they changed the scene at the end. The little dream sequence Shinichi had is what the ending had been referencing the whole time. Shinichi waiting for his parents (more specifically his mother) to come home. Now that in a way Shinichi met her again the visual for the ending is different.
