So I am a Sociopath and unfortunately they’re often portrayed as inherently dangerous or serial killers as a result of they’re condition but that could not be any further from the truth. I do have a conscience and feel every emotion besides empathy. Empathy for me is more of a cognitive process rather than an emotional one, for example whenever someone I know dies the thought occurs that it’s very sad though I don’t actually feel anything and I wasn’t always a Sociopath so I do remember what empathy felt like and when I should be feeling it, I also tend to catch my lack of empathy in situations that involve it so I get very frustrated at the fact that I can’t But as I said I can feel all the other emotions so I never feel like I’m putting up a front like some sociopaths r portrayed as doing.It doesn’t rly It also take away from any aspect of my life though it does effect my my enjoyment of Anime and other shows cus whenever someone dies, I’ll be shocked n its very unfortunate but I don’t rly feel anything n that pisses me off but I do have a conscience and I’d say I’m a very compassionate person. Life is precious and in a situation like Shinchi’s I’d definitely bury the dog out of respect for it and it’s passing. It’s a weird thing cus I do have people I love and that I would die for but I don’t think I would be sad if they died n this rly frustrates me cus it’s such an unfortunate and sad thing but the feeling just isn’t coming. It legitimately feels like a part of me as a human is missing at times like that.
