I really enjoyed the character growth this episode gave us for HEA. It was never clearly stated, but what Priestess did in the battle with the ogre was very heroic. She used one more daily spell than she had available. In D&D that would mean that she just traded a portion of her life (vitality) to ask her Goddess for one more blessing. That is why she collapsed after casting the extra Protection blessing.
