The first episode is an outlier. It honestly doesn’t get any worse than this episode.

2019-08-06 01:36:55 +0000 UTCI love the manga of this, and was so happy it got an anime adaptation. Just remember - It's dark fantasy.. Proper dark fantasy. It's not "edgy just to be edgy" like some claim.. Every thing is meant to show you how gritty their world is. To ground you in the horribleness of their struggle and to make you want to back the heries even more than you normally would - to see them overcome their situations.. Also, the manga is much more graphic. Yet it's no where near as bad as Berserk or Blood C, etc... So don't be put off by his one, it's not as bad as some of the much more brutal stuff out there.

I don't know if either of you were familiar with the controversy surrounding Tarentino's Resevoir Dogs about its violence, but similar to GS, the violence took place off camera, but people's brains filled in the details and made things seem much worse.

2019-08-04 19:18:19 +0000 UTCI would say that this episode puts the worst foot forward for Goblin Slayer, the intensity is at its highest for shock value and graphic details in this episode. Pretty sure this is the most graphic episode of the series, but I can understand how it would certainly put people off. The graphic nature is massively turned down after this episode, so I would say the combination of episodes 1 and 2 gives a better overall view of the show as it shows it as it's most graphic and at it's calmest.

2019-08-04 00:02:48 +0000 UTCI was pleasantly surprised with this show popping up on your reactions. I have seen the series and can verify that this was the most graphic rape scene for the show. Rape is a continuing topic but on a smaller scale. All things considered i think at the very most it is on par with the GOT depictions. I hope you continue the series and get to know the characters more.

I’ll watch your reactions to the point where I dropped cuz y’all are great but the show doesn’t do it for me personally. If you enjoy it though, watch it and continue to react to it.

I had fun watching ya'lls reaction to this, I LOVE that you're taking flyers on shows like this to see if you like the flavor, but I watched about 4-5 episodes of this when it was live and I dropped the show out of boredom. It's not the shock value of the first episode that led me to this conclusion. I shook that off and decided to give the show a fairer shake, and I was left really bored. There's not much material to mine for reactions either.
