Fly, as an episode, I do not like. I love watching reactions to it though. It's such an odd bottle episode.

Ok im super late but yes, the fly is super metaphorical. Flies are associated with filth, rot, decay, or death... Like on dead bodies and shit. Theres a part of Walter thats decaying, literally (cancer) and soul/spirit wise(heisenberg, which is a cancer in itself)
Last episode he nearly crashed after basically agreeing to be Gus' permanent cook, i believe he knew he crossed a certain line because, like he said in this episode, the whole point of his breaking bad was to leave his family well off before dying, but now things are far past that and he's losing control of his situation. The fly is Gus and the threat of death if he leaves constantly on his mind, the fly is the decay of his morality, the growing heisenberg, the fly is a warning that theres death nearby.
Ive watched this show too many times lol, but i love stuff like this, especially with how this show does it. (Also note its jesse and not walter that killed the fly)
Hope yall see this, if not, oh well, tryna catch up on yalls reactionsπ€π

Yeah 3x10 is a famously divisive episode. I like it though. It gave us a chance to delve deeper into Walt and Jesse and their relationship. The 1st half of the ep is funny and 2nd half is gripping.
