I feel bad for Dany. She's been isolated for two seasons straight. Losing her closest friends and advisers as well as the faith of her remaining ones no wonder she is so emotional. On top of two off her children! She has sacrificed so much to save the world and get her throne can we blame her for being so insistent on it? Besides what conquest of the throne was not built on blood and bodies. Robert's conquest saw Kings Landing sacked in just the same way as Dany wants to do (and should have when she first set foot on Westeros soil). Varys supported her father then when he was obviously mad and at the slightest sign of his daughter being the same plots against her. Flipflop turncoat that one. Bronn put it best, kill hundreds you get to be a lord. Kill thousands you get to be a king. Ends certainly justify the means if it means getting Cersei off the throne. Winning at this point without bloodshed is just wishful thinking.

I think Jamie and Tyrion were in Winterstown at the time Bron came in and even if it was Winterfell I don't think it would be very uncommon for someone to be walking around with a crossbow after a giant battle
