Tokyo Ghoul 2x3 FULL REACTION!!

Tokyo Ghoul 2x3 FULL REACTION!!

all i'm really saying is that i wish people would be less aggressive with the whole "PLEASE DON'T WATCH SEASON 3" stuff. like i don't think they're going to react to manga instead or anything (although that would be great!) so there's no real downside to watching it. some of the best scenes are in :re (even if they lose some impact in the anime) so if they're still enjoying tokyo ghoul by the end of this season it's at least worth giving season 3 a chance

^by "season 3" i was referring to only the first season of :re, which adapts fewer chapters than any other season of tokyo ghoul. there's still a lot of scenes cut from the manga but most of it isn't immediately important, just like character interactions and backstories. and when i said it was more coherent i meant IF they read the manga or at least a summary first - obviously it will be confusing if they don't. season 2 literally doesn't even explain basic things like why kaneki joined aogiri, and borrows scenes/characters from the manga without the context where they actually make sense. but season 3, if you go into it knowing what happened in the original manga instead of root a, is actually pretty straightforward

^Excuse me but season 3 is less rushed than season 2? Im not trying to sound like a douche, but atleast they went and changed the story in S2 instead of crunching ~100 manga chapters in 24 episodes like they did for S3. If you found The beginning of S2 to be confusing, then S3 will confuse you even more. Imo it's not even worth watching. Season 2 on the other hand isnt as bad, and you can actually follow what's happening. Even if they ended up reading a summary of the manga, they would miss out on so much important information.

(ugh didn't realize hitting enter would just post the comment...) anyway as for season 3 it's... really not as bad as people are making it out to be? i think it would be cool if you guys watched it, just because barely anyone else has reacted to the whole series. as long as you read the original manga first (as in the one just called tokyo ghoul, seasons 3 and 4 are tokyo ghoul :re) or even just look up a summary of the important stuff the first 2 seasons changed/skipped you shouldn't have any trouble following it, it's actually more coherent and less rushed than this season. 4 is kind of another issue... on one hand i still think it would be cool if you guys reacted to it because like no one else did, but at the same time it is honestly straight up bad and without reading the manga alongside it you're not going to understand what's happening most of the time

season 2 is going to be at its worst in the next couple episodes but it gets a lot better after that... it's definitely worth watching all the way through. unfortunately though a lot of the things you guys are confused about aren't really going to be followed up on, because this season's plot is basically just a few half-baked ideas like kaneki joining aogiri mixed in with scenes taken directly from the manga that weren't altered to fit the new story. once you're done you might want to look up the author's original ideas for the season that were never fully realized (can't remember where i found those, i think it was either a tumblr/reddit post or on the wiki) because it's a lot more interesting honestly
