Now regarding the alchemy, alchemists specialize in different transmutations. The reason for the different use of it comes from what they transmute and how it relates to their specialty. Mustang has his circles on his gloves to be able to create his fire and Armstrong has his what looks like metal knuckles with his alchemy circles engraved on them. Edwards alchemy by simply clapping his hands together to create a circle and then freely transmute whatever he touches is quite.. special.
