What I like about Armin is that he is authentically smart. He doesn't have some scientific or street smarts, but he's really observant, creative and emotionally intelligent. And sometimes some of his simple ideas even put us watchers to shame that we don't always put two and two together. :)

One of the things I love about AoT is how it portrays fear and people's reactions to the unknown. It's so realistic imo how everyone's acting and trying to handle certain situations. Even when throwing logic at someone (like what Armin did here with his speech), sometimes it isn't enough to snap them out of it as the fear is too strongly ruling their reasoning. With Kitz, the Garrison captain here, it's frustrating and even annoying seeing him acting like this, but for all he knows, Eren has been this monster that has infiltrated and hidden himself among them for who knows how long. There's also the threat of the other titan, the Armored one, possibly popping up anytime soon like what happened 5 years ago after the Colossal showed up. At this point, there's just so many unknown variables in play that I can't blame the guy for losing it like this. I think anyone in his position would honestly act the same, because what do you do? What do you do to make all of this go away? How should you handle this when time is probably of drastic importance? "Scared of thinking"? You got that right! With that said, thank God for Pixis coming in last minute though! :D

This is never explicitly stated in the anime, so it isn't a spoiler, but Levi is actually in his 30s; he just looks young. Mikasa is 15, so that ship wouldn't really work haha.
