We showed up randomly, in a cursed forest, with a necklace belonging to a family that was wiped out by vampires, and we're basically made for Donovan as a mate, even content to be so, EXCEPT that we keep trying to escape for seemingly no reason? We're being manipulated by the vampire group! We're either under the power of the yandere vampire OR we're a willing participant! In either case, it's why we're hopelessly compliant to our werewolf husband (either being happy to be with him away from the vampire or having been ordered to be) but haven't explained to him WHY we have this insatiable need to run (if we're under hypnosis, which is likely with the musical cues from the end of the episode, we may not even understand our need to run). The 'homesickness' was likely the beginning of the compulsion to return to the vampire. The vampire wants something from the werewolves (or Donovan, specifically) and we have it, now.
