Imagine being so small and cute but lethal to the touch.
Some fun facts on the Poison Dart Frog:
- After their eggs hatch, the adult piggybacks the tadpoles to a suitable source of water, sometimes in little puddles that pool in plants.
- Sometimes they hug each other, but it's actually a dispute over territory. Both sexes are territorial.
- Their toxicity is a result of their diet, and captive bred frogs aren't poisonous at all.
- Most species aren't particularly dangerous to humans, but the most poisonous species, the golden poison dart frog, has enough poison to kill 10 humans.
