I'm fascinated by the idea of having your mind forcibly rewritten into something that conflicts so deeply with who you are as a person. To lose grasp of everything that you understood about yourself and the world around you, and have it replaced by a whole new set of ideas... And to be aware of it happening, but helpless to stop it... It's such an unimaginable fate, and probably one of the most terrifying and miserable things that could happen to a person.
Should I be concerned that I find the idea so enticing? Perhaps, but whatever. There are worse fantasies.
