Added 2020-09-04 20:42:13 +0000 UTCWe made it! Friday evening it is, it was a close finish to get this episode ready in time. It is really like running a startup..... We love it, the spirit is getting high and we had an interesting week with some lows.
We published the second part of our Blog "how do they do it" and realised it still impacted us what happened. It took us back to three years ago when I (Gerben) realised that it is over, that the dream came to an end and there was only a nightmare left, I just wanted to stop breathing. This was June 2017, our most difficult months - we were just 5 months together, so in love but also so broken. The month where I had to sell the Perfect Sense and Rianne made the decision to buy the Perfect Sense. Still can't believe she made this decision. Every decision determines the course of your life is a famous expression and this is definitely one.
And now, here we are, living our dream, getting everything up and running. In this episode we are driving through Croatia towards the coastline to reach the Mediterranean and had an unexpected emotional moment.
In the meantime we are still working on The Perfect Sense and she is getting there. Next week we will apply a Dutch invention on her, it is the first non toxic antifouling and it will be an experiment, it has never been done before in this way.
We receive fantastic support and especially from one of you, his name is Pim, a B57 owner from the Netherlands, with an extensive knowledge, always extremely helpful and we receive big support from him. He found an essential missing part, dismantled it and went soaking wet to do some measurements in the Dutch rainy weather for us. A big thank you Pim!
