I love the somewhat savage look of the Japanese oni. Sabine dresses a bit more classy though, so it was fun to combine those 2 things together!

I felt the hard, sharp angles of katakana fit closer to the personality of an oni than the smooth, gentler hiragana. Plus since I'm a foreigner it felt weird to use hiragana to my initials, haha.
