Happy to see that you are liking Xinyu. She is chinese and can speak a decent amount of English as well since she studied uni in the United States before becoming an idol which is why you will hear her speak it a lot especially if she doesnt know the word in korean. Her accent is very unique since its a combo of korea chinese and english the members will sometime poke fun at it and mimic it which is quite funny. Her korean has improved a lot over the past 2 years tho so her cadence is less choppy now. Her story is very interesting from growing up in China to going to uni in the US to being on 2 survival shows one in China and one in south Korea to eventually calling modhaus herself to ask if she could audition. To keeping her debut a secret from fellow member and long time friend nien until she was revealed.
