✍️ Writing & Creative Process — Behind the Moans

Q: How do you write dialogue in erotica? When do you use things like "said," "spoke," or "moaned"?
This is a difficult one, because I never fully love the dialogue in my stories and for the most part, in most erotic stories I read, the dialogue is often the weakest part of the writing. It is a tricky thing to write...So I try to go with rhythm first — does it feel natural in your head when you read it back? If not, it needs trimming, teasing, or tightening. I try not to over-tag unless it adds emotion or heat.
Sometimes a whispered “please” says more than a full paragraph ever could.

Q: Where do you do most of your writing?

So I have a windows desktop that I use for some activities...But I like to be flexible and mobile, so I started doing all my writing on my husbands MacBook. That way I can sit in the garden, the couch, keep it in bed with me for those deliciously wild scenes...or take it to a coffee shop and get a little kick out of the slutty words I am writing surrounded by all these people...Biting my lip at the naughtiness of it all! 😈

That line came from feeling it in real life. No training or qualifications in writing...In fact English(literature and creative writing) was one of my weakest school subjects. So unless you count years of being horny, slutty or occasionally frustrated, I have no real training 😅

Q: How do you stay so fit while writing such long, heavy stories? Gym, yoga… starvation and orgasms?

Maybe. Some moments already bleed through. But when I do write something closer to nonfiction — you’ll know. It’ll feel different. I do share real life stuff in my Sunday posts. A full blown story would be difficult task to fully write when talking about thoughts, feelings, exact details and emotions, dialogues etc from 10 years ago...

Q: Do you have a favorite Literotica story not written by you?
Yes, I am actually thinking a good Sunday Funday Post in the future will be sharing some of my favourite stories and authors. So I will save this answer for that post...But great question! I love sharing and hearing other peoples favourites and keeping the Erotica world alive!! 🔥
