Greetings adventurers, and welcome back!
In this next part of the adventure, we take it outdoors, as we scale the peaks of T'u Lung's inaccessible mountains to find monasteries of obscure sects.
On Clear Echo Peak is one such monastery, built into the foundation of mountain itself. We envision this as the exterior entrance to the Temple from Set 4, and it has a similar architectural language and defensive posture. It stands as a standalone though, and travelers can either tunnel their way out of the labyrinthian mountainway beneath it, itself a trial - or find some way to activate the portal the grandmasters use.
Variants come in day/night, foggy, and dark!
The other monastery tucked away on the mountains is an entire standalone enclave, where a small faction, likely a schism of a schism, has hidden itself away in these hills. The monastery is entirely self-sufficient, which makes for a good rest stop travelers and wayfarers, as they bed down for the night and try to ignore the unnatural chimes of the mountain's song:
