Battlefields Set 4

This month we start taking on fortresses in the old Saxon style, starting with a river toll map!
This fortress is perched on a river, with local merchants already set up on the south-eastern bank to sell or bilk travelers.
The fortress sees a significant amount of cargo going through its arterial rivers, and have the winches to prove it. For those with nimble feet though, it's easy to clamber up these for easy entry into the fortress proper!
At low tide the area becomes a dry rocky bed that allows foot traffic but no boating:
In dry weather sometimes the tinder catches in these unsafe lands!
And a foggy night for mist-filled infiltrations!
This map also comes with two other variant, a plains version with no fortress, with lots of rocky terrain for encounters:
And one in which only the river remains:
