Generally looking at this, the first option that comes to mind is a little side thing to enter, going up against extra strong enemies, defeating them and earning money or other rewards. Maybe also have it a risk reward type thing where you can keep fighting on and get more rewards, but naturally gets harder due to low health and running out of items, so if you lose once you lose it all. Or it's a story thing where Valeria finds herself stuck in there and has to fight her way to freedom.
