Closing Up Shop?
Added 2025-11-29 10:44:43 +0000 UTCWhen times get tough for everyone financially it's hard to tell if people are leaving because of that or lack of interest, since there is very little feedback. This place is getting ever closer to not being worth my time to continue. I'd like to know how those of you who still pay me to do my monkey dance feel before I make a choice though. I've got some other offerings for tomorrow, but I had the dash opened and decided to ask.
At least one person got their honey bunches oated because I've dabbled with AI generated backgrounds. I don't have a problem not using it if everyone has suddenly become paragons of ethics. That said, I know at least 520 people steal access to my work, so I'm kind of shaky on how this system of ethics works. Regardless I've only played around with it here because I don't consider this stuff very important. I've told this story before, but when I was in college my professors told us digital art would NEVER surpass physical media in the art world. So they refused to teach us anything about it. So I got into the world with no idea how to use THE INDUSTRY STANDARD PROGRAMS for anything and it set me back a decade behind the younger people who grew up with computers. I don't want to get left behind again, and I don't think artists are smart enough, or motivated enough, to stop the use of AI in art. They are great at policing social media about it, but I don't see any fucking court cases being filed...
Anyway, I just thought I put this out here because if no one cares if I do this I can just go back to keeping it to myself for no money rather than sharing it for no money. I know communism is all the rage again, but for now I still have medical bills to pay.

I also got stung with bad advice at one point and never again! Your work and your style is unique, and in this world and internet of seemingly endless, slightly tweaked versions of something else that's pretty damn rare and precious. You also have a right to be happy and zero onus to share your work. From the tone of some of your X posts I clearly misinterpreted that you aren't into a lot of interaction. It's not selfish to look after you and you absolutely have worth. Manly hugs all 'round and good luck on finding out what works

Your characters and your stories are fun and they're also pretty dang hot when you draw them with a little more, whether it be more width or with some form of monster girl accessories. I don't talk much and for that I apologize, but I seldom have any meaningful feedback. Keep doing what you want to do. If AI can help you do your backgrounds faster, I don't see a problem with it so long as you're still drawing the characters.

When you made this available and I was aware? Jumped on and supported. My thing with Ai is more so I don't care that much about the backgrounds so long as it's not what the main focus is. I still prefer them done manually, so to speak, but so long as the main portion is still done by you? Don't care all that much for a setting. Even using them as a filler for a temporary thing just to get an idea for a piece I think is fine and dandy. But I'm here to support you, I'm always excited to see the new posts and want to keep seeing these projects or whims that come to your mind. It would suck to see them stop but I'm also not childish enough to demand it remains if you don't feel it's worth keeping this page open. TLDR; will continue to support, don't mind Ai backgrounds so long as they're temporary for bigger projects or the main focus, want to see more but understand if you feel this isn't worth keeping up.
