Carol Eats It All WIP

As I said on Twitter to someone, This started as basically a shot for shot remake of JD2000's Munchies comic that I started making after he abandoned the idea the 2nd or 3rd time.  It's one of those things that always bothered me that there was no ending.  I used to speak to him regularly back then, so I've talked to him about the various ideas for where this was going.  I'm pretty sure some of the sketches are posted in the link to his work that's in my archive here somewhere.  If not some of them do still exist.  He has a habit of deleting all his work every so often, so the only archives that exist are generally in the hands of people like myself who chose to save everything.

Since I never intended for these to be posted publicly, or quasi publicly, there's no one definitive version of my take.  I played with it endlessly and changed it to suit my tastes over time.  Eventually it evolved into completely separate ideas with only visual homages to the original work.

These images are cleaned up versions of the images from the time when it was very close to being just a remake.  Carol grows out of scale with normal humans very early on.  Generally I keep her head and arms in scale with regular people for much longer in these types of concepts.  And that goes for works with other characters too.  It's just a preference.  I'm not ideologically opposed to doing it a different way.

Anyway, I sometimes go back to old images to play with dialogue ideas I have.  This is one of those results. Chances are I will come back to it as the mood strikes me and life allows.

This kind of sexy expository setup, or sexposition, as I like to call it, is something I use regularly in these kinds of works because of my obsession with language.  In comics you are usually expected to show and not tell, but I like both at the same time.  It's sort of like the blueberry scene in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.  Everyone can see what's happening, but the characters keep saying it out loud for various reasons.  Not least of which is the human tendency to verbalize the extremely obvious.

In this example Evrina is not actually seeing the events, but we as observers can see the memories of Carol, or the imaginings of Evrina if you choose to see it that way.  In an early version of this these events were showcased in a standard chronological way rather than starting with giant Carol circling back via dialogue.  There are more images, many of which have already appeared on this patreon, and this is a sort of truncated retelling.

I don't know how many of you care about these detailed explanations, but I feel compelled to make them regardless, so if you're reading this then thank you for taking the time.

I've included an unfinished image that wasn't posted on twitter.  I will likely edit that image to suit my tastes a bit more as I add more to this series.  It's also very likely I will reuse all of this for the version that I consider more "canonical" so to speak.  Anyway, until next time, I hope you enjoy these higher quality files.

That comic is a parody of King Sized Canary. It's been done many many times and ways. At least if I'm thinking of the right thing.

That story reminds me of Shydudes The Chase which was a fun vore story I've never seen anyone try to replicate.

I'm always down to hear the process behind these things. Dialogue IS indeed important for these as it's what makes things more enjoyable. Even when you read and don't hear the words the idea someone's saying "You're/I'm blowing up" is always a personal favorite because it's just one of the things that hits the ear/brain in the most right of ways. So yeah, more words to enhance is good. And the perspective you choose to go with proportions is good too. All depends which way you aim to go, is it HER getting bigger, or is it her belly. Depends on the mood and need for the scenario. But it's always nice to see.
