As I said previously I've been messing around with this for at least a decade. This stuff comes from a point when I was playing around with making it more cohesive and structurally sound in a narrative sense. Then I played around with cleaning up parts, coloring, expanding panels into larger images. Since I have trouble seeing I like really large panels. Of course when I started this computer screens were still very expensive if they were very large. If I started completely over with modern equipment it might have been more traditional in its formatting. I've actually considered buying an absolutely massive screen that you can draw on & mounting it on a swing arm. I don't know if it would improve my art at all, but I could at least see it more clearly.

Another issue with this very old art is that I started it on a tablet that wasn't a screen, so there was a huge disconnect between my hand and the image. The stiffness of my current comic style stems from having that restriction for so long. When I'm not making something sequential it's much more likely to get very loose and off model if it's one of my regular cast members. Basically everything I do now is rooted in the kind of cobbled together poverty tools I had when I started out.

Anyway, the evolving dialogue is pretty labored. The unpolished stuff usually is because I'm very word oriented. If you ever notice an odd phrasing in someone else's work that you see in this really old stuff of mine I probably showed them this ages ago and some part of it got stuck in their head.
