I think a more finalized version will have smaller legs. I generally prefer the limbs to be a bit smaller, but it might also be the pose that I'm not sure about. In any case, this is just more art to fill space as I clean up the Halloween ending. The next couple of pages had to be reworked in such a way that I couldn't just knock them out in a couple of hours.

Anyway, this image is kind of a daydream Nina has while experiencing massive food expansion. The running plot is that Nina sees something in the sky during a storm & a bolt of lightning passes through the UFO & in to her. It causes her to become insatiably hungry, & to mutate over time. In this universe she works in one of those mid sized convenience/grocery stores you see on the outskirts of some towns as they try to anticipate where the town is going to grow to. At one point Thomas was going to be the male in the story, but I changed it to Ed because his personality fit the story more as it evolved.

In times past I would have tried to at least coat the story with a pretense of these not being my normal comic characters, but I don't think anyone is being fooled anyway. I like drawing the faces of my familiar cast. In any case this is one of the many skeleton comics I'm perpetually not finishing.
