im glad someone mention the novel...The radio play was crazy most people in 1938 missed the introduction of the introduction that it was a dramatization and the thought it was real when the tuned in. Entire reserves activated around the the USA included militias not like today these were more like reserve units to...There were some ubnits attacked a water tower!!!

2023-11-13 07:51:01 +0000 UTCBelieve it or not the radio show was based on an excellent English novel from 1898 written by H. G. Wells who is considered "the father of science fiction". You'd also really enjoy a film based on his novel The Time Machine written in 1895, which came out in 1960.
