In fighting a fire at a wellhead, high explosives, such as dynamite, create a shockwave that pushes the burning fuel and local atmospheric oxygen away from a well. This is a similar principle to blowing out a candle. Keeping his son drunk because he didn't want to deal with it was so wrong I didn't think he could do anything worse. I guess I was wrong. I'm halfway through this, and I think Daniel has lost his mind.
