I love the little polterkittens who do all the gruntwork for Cattephagia. They're easy to draw & were a good idea for this particular premise. Bringing the food to the subject is easier that the reverse to draw. I always greatly underestimated how much time I would need to make these. Plus life always managed to fuck me over. I did most of these in a weekend, which is not nearly long enough. At least one of them was done right after getting out of the hospital, I don't know which one now. When I say "one of these" I mean comics made for the Muffintop anthologies. I switched software right before making one of them. I think that was Cake Mixer. I was very sick for most of the years these were going on because of the problems that landed me in the hospital too. Somehow I managed to get something like a story completed & the producer didn't hate them. Free Samples was an update of something I had been noodling around with for at least 5 years on and off, so making the first section into a narrative wasn't too difficult. The bar for entry was so low that I was, at least, never the worst story in any of the books. That shame fell, mercifully, on other creators. My talent for landing someplace in the middle saw me through.
The complete idea for this was something on the order of 20 pages, but I'm not sure if I can do that many before Halloween. If it seems like patrons like it I will finish it up the way I intended to. If not, I guess we'll see. Slap a heart or a comment on this thing so I know, if it's not too much trouble.
