Gotcha. Kind of crazy that Shugoddom gets a new format and the others get elements so far. I cant wait to see the others' powers.

Basically, whenever Gira turn into king kuwagata ohger, he's using the symbol power. At the start of the show only shugoddom and gokkan had knowledge about their symbol power, while for the other three countries they're more or less treat them as ritualistic trinket.

Also when he said "He wish to protect his family too" I think he means he also want to protect his family but as a king he have to sacrifice his family for the people.
