2023-05-13 23:08:31 +0000 UTCSimilar phenomenon: "Memento" & "Irreversible" are both 'indie' flicks, but "Memento" made a tidy profit while "Irreversible" is a shocker controversy film that (understandably!) scares some people off, made by a great director who's never gonna be *as* big of a name as Nolan. Also, could talk about some older movies like "Betrayal"...

2023-05-13 12:35:45 +0000 UTCThe problem is that polls gauge popularity, not good movies. So bad movies like Promethius do better just because it was a big blockbuster. That said, Memento is a good movie and I wouldn't mind losing to it, though Irreversible is a better movie told the same way
