Contact is such a great movie. So smart and brilliant job adapting a very full novel to the screen. They did Carl proud.

It was one of those rare films that left me with a ton of things to think about, and it's one of the best sci-fi movies in recent years. Another fantastic one is 'Contact' with a similar theme starring Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaugheeeeeeeey.

I agree with you, the film was a very unique take (you said outtake, which is not the correct usage of the word. An outtake is a scene or clip that doesn’t end up in the final version of the film. Like a blooper. But I know what you meant.😉) on first contact with an alien species. I’m really looking forward to Dune 2. Which is coming out soon.
