Gus is a pure psychopath. If you've ever had the misfortune of encountering one, they do seem to have a kind of sixth sense for self preservation, part of what makes them so dangerous. Hollywood tends to dramatize it, but real psychopaths are like this, extremely charming and slick personalities, with innate skills of remaining hidden in plain sight.

2023-07-27 07:23:17 +0000 UTCHonestly, my feeling about the end of this episode has always been: the writers were just having a lot of *fun*--- with FORCING the plot threads to come together the way they're supposed to! :D :D Gustavo Fring is basically a supervillain at this point so, yeah, why wouldn't he have 'super-instincts'? :D The finale episode after this also stretches your suspension of disbelief more than a bit--- but it's all leading up to the final season, in which everything comes together/falls apart with a breathtaking, painful 'you knew it had to be like this' logic...
