Totally fair! I definitely see the appeal of the retainers, especially with how much depth they’ve gotten—it’s not something you usually see. For me though, the Kyoryuger cast just had that instant fun factor that clicked more. Love that both shows bring something different to the table!

2025-06-15 19:56:51 +0000 UTCFor me the reason episode 17 slap so hard is the bond between Shiokara and Yanma. Especially after episode 10 when they summon Legend King-ohger. Totally worth all the set up. It's not traditional for non-rangers to have as much focus as the retainers have in King-Ohger. Kyoryugers might have a more charismatic main cast, but King-ohger win in term of supportive squad. All the retainers are , so far, more interesting and have more depth compare to Torin.

I'm kind of happy I didn't notice that since it made the twist even better. ;) I will say it's a bit hard to pick up on that since the switch seems to have happened before episode 1. If we would have been introduced to him before the switch, I assume it'd be easier to pick up on.
