I'd been looking forward to an Alita movie since James Cameron bought the rights to make one about 20 years ago. There was always intended to be a sequel, but his schedule was too full. Now that the second Avatar movie is made, there are new rumors of an Alita sequel, so fingers crossed! If you're interested in a similar film, I could recommend 'Ghost in the Shell' (2017) with Scarlett Johansson, but fans of the manga (Japanese comic) and anime (Japanese animation) had a lot of problems with the changes they made. The classic anime movie from 1995 is a far better adaptation, and the 2017 film was heavily based on it. The hero cyborg, Major Motoko Kusanagi, is one of the 'baddest bitches' in the genre. She could give Alita a hard time. For a really cool and sexy Robert Rodriguez film that put him on the map, try 'Desperado' (1995).
