This is the roughest episode. I've personally cleaned up the severed heads of victims of the Sunni vs Shia conflicts of the Middle East. Heads of innocent women and children who were simply caught in the middle of the chaos. But I can not imagine coming upon a place that was tailored to be the most efficient and methodical measures of human extermination. The fact any of those men were even able to sleep after seeing that is a testament to their resiliency. I can't imagine having to tell those poor people we need to keep them in that hell hole where they endured so much pain and suffering. While I don't have a lot of faith in humanity based on what I've witnessed, this would have broke me on another level. Not sure I would have recovered from witnessing this level of indifference to life.

She spent many years after the war going to schools and giving talks about what she saw and did. It was difficult to talk about, but she coped by telling others and making sure no one forgot.
