Since it hasn't been mentioned in detail, as someone else mentioned, in America, the penalty of selling drugs vs. buying drugs is so much different. In America, typically it's the difference between possession vs possession with intent to sell. Possession will net you a couple years if it's not weed and not your first offense. Intent to sell will net you like 10 years assuming it's not weed but it's usually across state lines when it happens, but it's pretty common
