To me, the stellar performance by Gloria Stuart as Old Rose is what makes this movie work. Sure, the visuals are great, the lead performances are excellent, but Old Rose is the hook that pulls you in and so beautifully bookends the movie. Wonderfully written and impeccably acted.

Instead I recommend checking out a YouTube channel called Historic Travels run by a guy named Sam. He has several videos about the Titanic including a two hour video on the full timeline of Titanic's trip.
