Particularly when Spacey’s character is being interrogated, when no one in the scene is looking at him he’s either smirking or formulating something before the officer confronts him again, when he switches back to poor Verbal Kint. This is really apparent at about 10:15 or so of your YouTube reaction, especially with the dialogue that precedes it.
