I started to watch the youtube version, but decided no. No because this film, unlike any other, deserves to be watched completely, with full attention, without distraction. So I came here and started my Patreon subscription. I made a special trip to see this in Vancouver on Boxing Day, 1993. (It was taking too long to show up in Victoria theatres. In fact, it didn’t show up in Victoria theatres for 11 weeks. None of the movies in theatres justified that wait!).

2021-12-05 02:33:08 +0000 UTC3 Spielberg movies you need to see if you haven't are Jaws ET: The Extraterrestrial and The Color Purple with Whoopie Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey which SHOULD have been Steven Spielberg's first Academy Award for Best Picture which would have made Schindler's List Spielberg's SECOND Best Picture Oscar. The Color Purple was the first movie that Whoopie Goldberg appeared in and although she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress she didn't win. The Color Purple was ALSO the first movie appearance for Oprah Winfrey who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress but also didn't win.
