Dasha thank you so much for your heartfelt reaction to this movie. Believe it or not Goethe was actually worse than he was portrayed in this movie. Spielberg decided to tone him down or else he was afraid that he would be unbelievable. The actual Helen Hirsch saw Ralph Fiennes on set and started shaking uncontrollably. Also the Jeweler who made the ring at the end of the movie was Mordecai Wulkan He was a cousin to my wifes Grandfather.
