Summer Glau comes to mind. Not only did she have Ballet training, from memory I heard that she has a photographic memory.... And in the fight scenes from the movie Serenity, she was constantly going faster each time she did it.

It had a great advertising campaign where it just showed a few scenes like the one where neo is dodging the bullets with no explanation and the tag line “What is the Matrix?” It was very influential in developing ways of shooting a film with the 360 degree camera shots and using lots of “wire work” the technique of hooking the actors up to wires like a puppet with let’s you do those crazy unnatural air stunts like running on the walls and stuff. It had been used for awhile primarily in Hong Kong made action movies but we had never really seen it in America before the matrix. Also to answer a few questions “R&R” stands for “Rest and Recreation” Implying taking a break from work and getting some rest or having fun”. Also the term for actors moving in elaborate planed out movements is called “choreography”. Specifically with fight scenes it’s “fight choreography”. They are actually planned out very similar to a dance and a lot of the actors who are really good at fight scenes have dance training like Ballet!
