It's most interesting for people like me who grew up in that time because it was a transitory time for a lot of us. We lived like that, but it wasn't over with fashion and what not. We embraced the new techs that were coming out and even were the early adopters for smart devices and stuff. It was the real third wave of post modern technology. Very different times. You could still reach a person on land phone, and things were covered in knitted or crocheted hand held stuff. "hanging up" The phone actually meant putting it on a hanger, etc. etc.
