A "Square" in the 50's meant a lot of things, from a smoke, to a box, to a person who can't be bothered to think outside the lines. A "Square" in this context meant being a boring or unadventurous person. Martin and Lewis, although I've never been to this restaurant, must refer to the Comedy duo, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, and their antics were often delivered via radio in milkshake shops to teenagers getting out of school at the time. Televisions were heavy, expensive, and difficult to maintain, so most kids of the 50's would get their comedy via Radio. Cooties were what boys and girls always accused the other of having to distance themselves. It's when we "shared our cooties" when we stopped caring about our cooties.

Tarintino has been called the Shakespeare of Swear Words. His ability to write interesting dialog is one of his strongest traits as a writer. While his love of movies (he worked at a video rental store before breaking out in Hollywood) makes him an awesome director. A powerful combination when it comes to making movies. Check out Django Unchained or the Kill Bill series for Tarintino at his best.
